Jansamwad review: Barnwal directs to organise camp at district level to solve land related complaints

Ranchi: Principal Secretary of Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal has directed to organise camps at the district level to solve the complaints related to land-related issues which have been registered at the Jansamwad Kendra here. Chairing the weekly review
of the complaints at Suchana Bhawan here he asked the nodal officers to organise camps at DC level to dispose off such cases on a priority basis.

A total of 20 complaints were taken during the programme for review. In a complaint from Koderma district, it was pointed that the dozens of displaced families who were settled on the Charadih mauja under Koderma district in 1951 have yet not given the
land deeds over which he asked the nodal officer to get the people the deeds as per the guidelines which have been issued by the land revenue department.

Over a complaint from Bankisol and Kendua panchayat of East Singhbhum district, it was said that many members of the Sabar tribe were not given homes under the Birsa Aawas Yojan over this the officer of the rural development department said that since the people did not have their own land, therefore, they could not be provided homes under the scheme. However, the process of land mutation was on and once that is completed they would be provided homes next fiscal.

Over a complaint by kin of one Shanti Gudia who was killed by the ultras in 2013 and still her family was not given job despite the announcment of the government the nodal officer said that the daughter of the victim would be provided job within a week. In a  complaint from Pakur, it was pointed that one Pintu Mandal died in a road accident on December 23 in 2013 in Pakur but his wife Asha Devi did not any benefits of national family welfare schemes over which Additional Secretary Ramakant Singh asked to clear the case within a week. One Ramfal Singh of Chatra district complained that he had worked as a labourer from April 2012 to March 2013 in the plantation drive of the forest department but has not been paid his wages over which Mr Barnwal asked to bring the matter in Siddhi
