DC chairs Meeting regarding three-tier Panchayat elections 2022

Ranchi: Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan on Tuesday chaired a meeting with the senior officials of various cells constituted in the district regarding the three-tier Panchayat (Common) election 2022. Senior and nodal officers of all the treasuries were present in the meeting. While discussing in detail the work and responsibilities of all the cells, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary directions to the senior officers.

During the meeting, in the first phase, necessary arrangements were made by the Returning Officer in the nomination centers, calendar preparation of works from nomination to counting by all cells, material distribution and vehicle tagging, ballot box distribution places, polling teams and patrol teams. While discussing in detail on tagging, estimation of vehicle requirement as per route chart, etc, necessary directions were given by the Deputy Commissioner to the senior officer of the concerned cell.

Giving necessary instructions regarding the dispatch of the polling party, the Deputy Commissioner said that in view of the heat, ensure the arrangement of medical kit and ORS for the dispatch team. Regarding the sector construction for the first phase, the Deputy Commissioner said that it should be kept in mind that sectors should not be made of more than 5 booths. He gave necessary directions to the concerned BDO regarding the posting of Sector Magistrate.

Giving necessary directions to the District Transport Officer for the vehicles required in the first phase of polling he said that the honorarium of the drivers should be given a day in advance. While reviewing other cells also, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary directions to the concerned senior officers.
