Asiad 2018: Amit bags gold in men's boxing

Indian boxer Amit Panghal produced a memorable performance at the 2018 Asian Games, winning the gold medal in the men's light flyweight (49kg) category in Jakarta on Saturday.

The 22-year-old Indian defeated Uzbekistan's Hasanboy Dusmatov by a split decision in a closely contested final to claim the top spot on the podium.

Panghal remained composed under pressure against the highly regarded Uzbek boxer and secured India's gold medal in the event with a determined display.
