Noida: Haryana Thunders continued their flawless run in the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026, securing a comprehensive 6–3 win against Delhi Dangal Warriors in Match 5 at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Saturday.
Building on the confidence gained from their opening match, Haryana delivered a clinical performance marked by technical dominance and disciplined tactics, allowing them to dictate the pace for much of the tie.
Although the Delhi Dangal Warriors fought resolutely and managed to pick up key points, Haryana’s depth and consistency across weight categories ultimately proved decisive.
The contest opened with a closely contested women’s 76kg bout, where Kajal edged past Anastasia 6–5 to hand Haryana an early lead. Ankush then strengthened Haryana’s advantage in the men’s 57kg category with a commanding 13–3 win over Shubham.
The standout moment of the evening came in the women’s 53kg bout, as Olympic champion Yui Susaki produced a stunning display, overwhelming Saarika 16–0 in just 57 seconds. Her explosive performance earned her the Player of the Match award and drew loud applause from the crowd.
Haryana maintained their dominance as Anirudh Gulia outclassed Ronak Dahiya 13–0 in the men’s 125kg bout, followed by Neha Sangwan’s emphatic 18–2 victory over Karla Godinez in the women’s 57kg category.
Delhi Dangal Warriors responded through Sujeet Kalkal, who edged out Tumur Tulga 2–1 in a tightly fought men’s 65kg contest. Turan Bayramov added further points for Delhi with a convincing 8–0 win over Parvinder Singh in the men’s 74kg bout.
Any hopes of a late comeback were extinguished when Haryana’s Iryna Koliadenko dominated Anjali 13–0 in the women’s 62kg category, effectively sealing the tie. The final men’s 86kg bout was awarded to Delhi after Haryana’s Ashirov Ashraf was ruled unfit, handing Vafeipour the win.
With two victories from two matches, Haryana Thunders remain firmly positioned near the top of the PWL 2026 standings. They will face Maharashtra Kesari in their next fixture on January 23.
