Adani Group Joins Hands with Indian Pickleball League to Power Inaugural Season

New Delhi — The Indian Pickleball League (IPBL), the country’s first officially recognised pickleball league, has announced a major partnership with the Adani Group, which comes on board as the “Powered By” partner ahead of the league’s debut season. The collaboration brings together IPBL’s dynamic league format and Adani’s proven expertise in sports, underscoring a shared mission to accelerate the growth of pickleball across India.

Sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the IPBL will make its debut from December 1–7, 2025. The inaugural edition will take place at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi, featuring city-based teams and top Indian and international players in a fast-paced, competitive format designed for television audiences.

The Adani Group has long focused on strengthening India’s sports ecosystem through grassroots initiatives, athlete development programmes, and opportunities for emerging talent. With IPBL set to introduce an innovative league for one of the country’s fastest-growing sports, the partnership unites Adani’s commitment to foundational sports development with IPBL’s vision of elevating pickleball nationwide.

Expressing enthusiasm for the partnership, Sameer Pathak, President – Pickleball World Rankings, said:
“We are delighted to welcome the Adani Group for IPBL’s debut season. Their dedication to nurturing Indian sport aligns with our ambition to scale pickleball with the structure, visibility, and ambition it deserves. Together, we aim to elevate the sport’s journey and build a league that mirrors the energy and promise of a new India.”

Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer, Adani Sportsline, added:
“The Adani Group is proud to support the first edition of the Indian Pickleball League. Pickleball is one of India’s fastest-growing sports, and our association reflects our commitment to fostering emerging talent and building world-class sporting environments. We believe IPBL has the potential to expand nationally and inspire the next generation of athletes.”

Pickleball’s rise in India mirrors its global surge. India’s impressive performance at the 2025 Pickleball World Cup in Florida—in which it won 25 medals (eight gold, eight silver, and nine bronze) and finished seventh overall as the only Asian nation in the top 10—has further fuelled the sport’s popularity domestically.

With strong backing from the Adani Group, the Indian Pickleball League enters its inaugural season with momentum and ambition. The collaboration aims to propel one of India’s fastest-growing sports forward, creating a contemporary, inspiring league and building a long-term ecosystem to cement pickleball’s presence across the nation.
