Deauville, France — India’s Pranavi Urs produced a brilliant final-round performance at the Ladies Open de France, shooting a 6-under 65 to claim a share of fifth place at the Golf Barriere de Deauville.
Her score was three shots better than her second-round effort, providing her with a confidence boost heading into next week’s Women’s Indian Open.
Fellow Indian golfer Diksha Dagar posted an even-par 71 to finish tied for 46th at one-under overall.
Canadian teenager Anna Huang secured her second straight title with a flawless finish, closing with a 6-under 65 to end the week at 16 under par.
Pranavi began her round strongly with an eagle on the second hole, followed by birdies on the fourth and fifth to move to 4 under. Two bogeys on the seventh and ninth saw her make the turn at 2 under. She bounced back on the back nine with birdies on the 10th, 13th, 16th, and 17th, finishing her week at 10 under with no further mistakes.
Dagar’s round included birdies on the second, fourth, and 12th holes, offset by bogeys on the eighth, 11th, and 17th.
Huang got off to a hot start with birdies on the first two holes but slipped with a bogey on the fourth, briefly sharing the lead with South Africa’s Casandra Alexander. She quickly recovered with birdies on the fifth and eighth, then added three more on the back nine — at the 10th, 16th, and 18th — to clinch victory.
Germany’s Helen Briem and Alexander tied for second at 14 under, each carding 5-under 66s in the final round. Brianna Navarrosa finished fourth at 11 under.
First-round leader Alessia Nobilio and Kirsten Rudgeley joined Pranavi in a tie for fifth at 10 under.
The Ladies European Tour now takes a short break before heading to India for the Women’s Indian Open, scheduled at DLF Golf and Country Club from October 9 to 12.
