Apple launches 13-inch MacBook Neo with all-day battery life

New Delhi- Apple on Wednesday introduced the new 13-inch MacBook Neo, featuring a Liquid Retina display, all-day battery life and the powerful A18 Pro chip designed to handle on-device AI tasks such as applying advanced photo effects.

The MacBook Neo comes with a durable aluminium body and is available in several colours, including blush, indigo, silver and a newly introduced citrus shade.

According to the company, the laptop offers up to 16 hours of battery life, enabling users to work throughout the day on a single charge. It also includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones and dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio for enhanced sound quality.

The device is equipped with Apple’s Magic Keyboard for comfortable and precise typing, along with a large Multi-Touch trackpad that supports intuitive gestures for smooth navigation.

Customers can begin pre-ordering the MacBook Neo starting Wednesday in 30 countries and regions, including the United States. The laptop will begin reaching customers and be available at Apple Store locations and authorised resellers from March 11. In India, the MacBook Neo is priced from Rs 69,900, while the education price starts at Rs 59,900.

“We’re incredibly excited to introduce MacBook Neo, which delivers the magic of the Mac at a breakthrough price,” said John Ternus.

He added that the laptop has been designed to be more affordable while still offering Apple’s premium features, including a durable aluminium build, Liquid Retina display, Apple silicon performance, long battery life, high-quality camera and audio system, Magic Keyboard and the capabilities of macOS.

Weighing just 2.7 pounds, the MacBook Neo is designed to be easily portable. Its 13-inch Liquid Retina display offers a 2408×1506 resolution, 500 nits brightness and support for up to one billion colours, delivering sharp text and vibrant visuals.

Powered by the A18 Pro chip, the laptop enables smooth performance for everyday tasks such as web browsing, document creation, media streaming, photo editing and AI-driven applications.

The MacBook Neo also features two USB-C ports that support both accessory connectivity and external displays, with both ports capable of charging the device.
