Budget 2020 is reflection of aspirations of people: Arjun Munda

Ranchi: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda has described the annual budget 2020 as a one that reflected the aspirations of the people of the country.

He said that the massive mandate given by the people in the Lok Sabha polls of 2019 was due to the policies of the Narendra Modi Government.

He said that people have shown their faith on the government and the budget was a reflection of the aspirations of the masses for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharama needed to be congratulated.

He also hailed the Finance Minister to set up an iconic tribal museum in Ranchi. The Union Government in its budget has allocated a sum of Rs 53,700 crore for development of the tribals in 2020-21.

Adding further Mr Munda said that the budget talks about economic development of all and announcement of 16 point formula for the farmers will be in their interest and also for the agriculture sector as the government was committed to double the income of the farmers 2022.

He said that the Krishi Udaan Yojana will provide national and international market for farm products of North East and Eastern Regions of the country.

Munda said that now people having annual income less than Rs 5 lakh will have to pay no taxes while many announcements have been made for infrastructure development in the country moreover many new improvement measures and announcements have been also made in the health and education sector.
