Ranchi: Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpet Rey and SSP Anish Gupta reached Behra Toli village under the Chanho Police Station area and met with the family members of army jawan Bajrang Bhagat.
The officials consoled the family members of the jawan and assured full support to the family. Bajrang was posted in Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir and had died on December 29 after he accidentally fell from his bed.
On Wednesday night the body of the jawan was brought to his native village for last rites. However, after the body of Bajrang arrived his wife Manita jumped into the well and committed suicide.
Upon receiving information Chanho Police had reached on the spot and sent the body for postmortem to RIMS.
Manita and Bajrang had married two years ago. He was the lone earner of his family. His father had died long back and five sisters have been also married earlier and only his wife and mother were in the home.
