Accept the mandate of people says Raghubar

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das despite the poor showing of the party tried to put up a brave front as he said that the party will accept the mandate given by the people and said that defeat of the party will a defeat for Raghubar Das also.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters here he said that the party welcomed the verdict given by the people. He said that the counting process was currently on in which there are ups and downs frequently. Mr Das said that in the five years he had tried to work honestly for the 3.25 crore people of Jharkhand.

He said that in these five years the party had made an effort to ensure that ‘Vikas Ki Ganga’ reached in every house of the villages, however, he said that the entire result has not been declared and when all the results would come officially he will again come back and interact with the press.

When asked about his own chances from his home turf of Jamshedpur East from where he was currently trailing behind against Saryu Rai he said that there was no doubt that he will come ahead as 1.73 lakh votes were polled on the seat in the elections and so far counting of only 70,000 votes has taken place and there were still one lakh votes to be counted.

Over the 65 plus target which the party had set for itself he said that it has always been part of the BJP to keep the target high, however what went wrong for the party would be reviewed and he will again talk over them
