Ranchi: Former Union Minister and incharge for Congress party affairs in Jharkhand RPN Singh said that the problems of Jharkhand and the country are the same and unless the BJP and their leaders solve them they would continue to lose in the elections.
Addressing a press conference at the JPCC headquarters here he said that issues of corruption, unemployment and economic slowdown are same for the state and also for the country but unfortunately the BJP was not thinking on those issues and unless the BJP works of them the people will continue to teach a lesson to them.
Mr Singh said that BJP had made Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister of Amit Shah the face of the party in these elections and whenever they had come to address election rallies in the state they had always tried to divert the attention of the people from the core issues. “They were talking about Ram Mandir, Article 370... as if the Supreme Court had no role in solving the Ram Mandir issue,” he said.
He said that it was really unfortunate to note the language which was used by the leaders of the BJP sitting on the top seats in these elections. He also exuded his happiness and thanked the people for ensuring the defeat of such candidates who had switched from the Congress to other parties just before the polls.
On the issue of whether the party was eyeing the post of deputy Chief Minister in the state, he said that the Congress never contests for posts and as far as other cabinet portfolios are concerned all such decisions will be taken at the right time.
Over the stand of the party on NRC in Jharkhand he said that it would remain the same as it was in the entire country.
