Ranchi: Former cabinet minister Saryu Rai handed over his resignation to Governor Draupadi Murmu here.
Speaking to the press after giving his resignation letter he said in the entire state BJP will not be able to win more than 15 seats and said that it was for Chief Minister Raghubar Das to sack him from the cabinet.
He said that on moral grounds he had no right to remain on the cabinet post as he had contested the elections against the Chief Minister himself.
He said that he had faxed his resignation on November 17 itself which due to some reason did not reach the governor, therefore, he decided to personally meet her and handed her the resignation letter.
He said that since he had contested against the Chief Minister, therefore, he should have been sacked which was not done by Mr Das.
Mr Rai said that in the entire state the condition of BJP was very bad. When asked about his chances of winning against the Chief Minister he said that better voting has taken place in his favour but results on December 23 will only give the correct picture.
