Ragubar managed to ‘fly elephant’ as Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai: Baghel

Ranchi: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel took swipe at his Jharkhand counterpart Raghubar Das claiming that in the five years he has managed to make the elephant fly as ‘Modi Hai toh Mumkin Hai’. He said that just a few hours are left in the elections for the first phase in Jharkhand and these elections will be decided as to in which direction the state will move forward.

Addressing a press conference at the JPCC headquarters here he said that in his life he has seen the elephant swimming but in Jharkhand Raghubar Das in his five-year rule made the elephant fly as ‘Modi Hai toh Mumkin Hai’.Mr Bhagel said that all the allies of the BJP are running away from it whether it was Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, AJSU in Jharkhand and JD-U and LJP who are also contesting alone and moreover former cabinet minister Saryu Rai was himself contesting against the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister claimed that the results of Maharashtra and Haryana show that the mood of the country was changing. He said that Raghubar Das had the opportunity for five years but despite that, he did not provide the reservation to the OBCs and the women which he is promising now.

On the other hand, former Union Minister and in charge for party affairs in Jharkhand RPN Singh said whatever promises the BJP had made in its manifesto five years ago have been repeated in these elections manifesto. He said that while on one hand, Raghubar Das claimed of removing the maoists, on the other hand, the Election Commission said that out of 81 assembly constituencies 67 are hit by LWE.

Mr Singh said that all the Union Ministers who are coming to Jharkhand for campaigning are only trying to divert and distract the people. He said that the leaders of BJP are not talking about unemployment, poverty, mob lynchings, beating up of women and para teachers.

He further said that claims of Mr Das over zero tolerance on corruption and providing a stain-free government is the biggest joke in these elections. He said that BJP has given a ticket to a person accused in a scam of Rs 100 crore, Baghmara MLA Dhullu Mahto against whom several cases are registered and Bokaro MLA whose video went viral therefore it should not speak over corruption.
