Union Min Ravishankar Prasad claims Shiv Sena had achieved success only due to BJP

Ranchi: Union Minister for Law Ravishankar Prasad said that Shivsena had achieved success in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Maharashtra by riding on BJP’s shoulder.

Replying to the queries of the press after he launched the manifesto of the BJP for Jharkhand elections he said that people of Maharashtra had given a majority to the alliance of the BJP and Shivsena whereas in Haryana BJP was the single largest party and after JPP joined hands a coalition government was formed.

He said that in Maharashtra the people had given their majority to the BJP alliance however now the government which will come into power can be defined as heights of opportunism.

Earlier he said that BJP has its moral and emotional attachment with the state. He said that the demand for the separate state of Jharkhand had been continuing for long but it was the Jan Sangh and the BJP which supported it and finally when Atal Bihari Vajpayee came into power the separate state of Jharkhand was created.

However, for a majority period of time, Jharkhand had to undergo political instability as some of the powers for their vested political interests did not want a stable government. He said that under Chief Minister Raghubar Das the BJP has ensured development and stability in the state and has done works which touches to all sections of the people.

Adding further he said that the proof of the performance of the government was highlighted in the UNDP report which said that Jharkhand was among the top states to reduce poverty and whether it was the area of Aadhar, digital literacy, digital governance, setting of BPOs and development of farmers and women the BJP government of Jharkhand has performed very well.
