Not a single child should be left behind under Mission Indradhanush: Chief Secretary

Ranchi: Chief Secretary DK Tiwari has directed that such an arrangement should be made so that not a single child is left behind in the vaccination programme under Mission Indradhanush.

Chairing a review meeting over Mission Indradhanush at the project building here he directed that IPRD to create massive awareness among the people. He said that the mission is beneficial for every family and this message should go to the people in the right manner and all misconceptions related to it should be removed.

Under Mission Indradhanush children in the age group 0-5 years are provided vaccination against serious diseases and under this campaign children left behind and the pregnant women will be identified and vaccination would be done.

The Chief Secretary said that all the departments should hold separate meetings with other departments and establish coordination among themselves so that the mission can be achieved a success.

He laid stress so that under the mission the families living in the difficult terrains are covered. Mr Tiwari said that this programme is very effective to check the spread of disease.

Those present in the meeting also included Principal Secretary of the School Education Department AP Singh, Health Secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni and secretaries of the departments concerned.
