Ranchi: Chief Electoral Officer Vinay Kumar Choubey said that since the declaration of polls in the state cash and valuables worth Rs 5.53 crore has been seized in the state.
Addressing a Press Conference here he said that among the items which have been seized included Rs 2.12 crore in cash and illegal liquor worth Rs 1.92 crore has been also seized.
Mr Choubey said that apart from those contraband items including opium worth Rs 61.76 lakh has been seized by the enforcement agencies along with gift items worth Rs 1.35 lakh.
