Battle for Jharkhand: 10 Nominations filed for third phase of polls on 17 seats

Ranchi: A total of 10 candidates have filed their nominations for the third phase of polls in the state on 17 seats on which voting will be held on December 12.

One nomination each was filed in Ramgarh, Dhanwar, Gomia, Silli and Khijri while two nominations were filed in Bermo and 3 others on Hatia seat.

The last date of filing of nominations on these seats is November 25 while scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on November 26. Candidates can withdraw their names till November 26 while counting of votes takes place on December 23.

The seats were elections will be held in the third phase included Koderma, Barkatha, Barhi, Mandu, Hazaribagh, Simaria (SC), Barkagaon, Ramgarh, Dhanwar, Gomia, Berma, Ichagarh, Silli, Khijri (ST), Ranchi, Hatia and Kanke (SC).

A total of 56,06,743 voters are eligible to vote in this phase which included 29.32,657 male, 26,73,991 female and 95 third gender voters.
