
Jamshedpur: Food and Civil Supplies Minister Saryu Rai today said that he has no interest in getting the BJP ticket from Jamshedpur West seat and over the matter he has also apprised the senior leadership of the party and has urged them to give the ticket to anyone who they find is fit into the schemes of the party.
Addressing a press conference after his name was still not featured in the fourth list of candidates declared for Vidhan Sabha polls in the state he said that it has been his effort to remain grateful for whatever the party has given him.
He said that without demanding the party made him an MLC, MLA and a minister. “But such is a situation now that it appears that a person is standing with a bowl in his hand for the ticket,” he said adding that for the last many days he was under mental stress.
He said that he had also traveled to Delhi and asked the party leaders not to hold the ticket and had also informed them regarding his actions.
Rai said that when his name did not come up in the fourth list than he publicly informed that people and leadership of the party that ticket from Jamshedpur is not into my priority list.
When asked about his future course of action he said that he will hold a meeting with workers on Sunday and take their opinion after which take further action.
