Raghubar to file nominations on November 18

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das will be filing his nominations from the Jamshedpur East seat of the Assembly on November 18.

This will be for the sixth time that Mr Das try will win from the seat. His name features in the list of first 52 candidates which has been declared by the party on Sinday.

Polls in Jamshedpur will be held in the second phase on December 7. On Monday notification will be issued for the second phase of polls in the state which will be held on 20 seats spread across seven districts.

The last date of filing of nomination for these seats in November 18 while the scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on November 19. Candidates can withdraw their names till November 21.

Earlier the Chief Minister had held a meeting with the core committee of his assembly area in which the date of filing of nomination was declared.

It was decided that on November 18 the process of filing of nominations will be undertaken as part of which a procession will be taken out from the Agrico Transport Grounds at 10.30 am and will on foot reach the DC office.
