Dumka: A huge quantity of explosives kept in an under-construction house at Seharpur village under Shikaripada Police Station area of this district has been recovered.
Dumka SP Y S Ramesh said that following a tip off a special team was formed under SDPO Pujya Prakash was constituted which conducted the raids and recovered 100 kilograms of ammonium nitrate and 795 pieces of ammonium nitrate from the home.
An FIR in this regard has been registered against a couple of men. Police said that the matter is being probed as to whether the explosives were meant to create disturbances for the assembly elections or were meant to be supplied for illegal stone mines.
