DGP reviews law and orders situation, issues necessary instructions to officials

Ranchi: Director General of Police Kamal Nayan Choubey held a high-level review meeting at the police headquarters here in which all the IGs, DIGs and SSPs and SPs of the districts participated.

The DGP collected information from all the SSPs and SPs that after supervision in how many cases report one was filed and how many cases were pending due to nonfiling of report two and apart from that what action had been
taken against the active criminals in their respective areas.

The DGP also reviewed the naxal activities and action taken against the Maoists. He also reviewed the law and order situation with the officials and asked the DIG to do the monitoring of the situation and also gave necessary instructions in wake of the festivals of Diwali and Chhath.

Mr Choubey also reviewed the preparations in wake of upcoming assembly elections in the state he said that since the Maoists are on the verge on being wiped out therefore they might try to make their presence felt and asked the police officials to take all necessary steps so that the elections in the state can be held in a fear-free environment.

The DGP also directed the officials to adopt extra care while providing security to the VVIPS and VIPs during the elections and asked the police officials to create such an environment so that the people along with their families can remain tension free in the night. He also expressed his concern over the rising instances of cybercrime in the state and asked the officials to take necessary steps to stop them.
