Maoists breathing last in Jharkhand says CM

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the maoists were breathing their last in the state and assured that the government will always stand with the family members and dependents of the martyr jawans who have sacrificed their life to wipe out the maoists from the state.

Addressing a function after distributing appointment letters amongst the kin of those who were killed in Maoist related violence he said that providing the right to the dependents of the common people who were killed in Maoist violence is the responsibility of the state government and the home department with dedication was fulfilling its responsibility.

He said that after formation of his government strict action was ordered against the Maoists and the fight was in the last stage. He said that many brave soldiers had to make the supreme sacrifice and therefore the state government will stand always with the dependents and family members of these martyrs.

Mr Das said that the state government has taken up a pledge that peace law and order will always remain in the state so that development work is not hampered. He said that after coming into power operations were carried out against the maoists in the state and in the last five year the policeman have managed to control the activities of the ultras in the state.

The Chief Minister said that with strong will power the state government has taken strict action against the maoists and in the days to come with the help of the people Jharkhand would be made completely free from their menace. He asked the policeman and the common people to establish coordination among themselves then only success would be available and exuded hope that in the next few years a maoists free Jharkhand would be made.

He said that there was tremendous employment opportunities in the Healthcare sector and with the help of skill development the girls are being provided training in nursing and are being linked with jobs. He also extended his best wishes to the people who were given appointment letters and ask them to work with dedication and honesty and fulfill their responsibilities.

Mr Das that those who lost their life in Maoist violence cannot be brought back from dead but the government will stand always with the family members of the deceased and it was the responsibility of the state government to provide the due to the dependents which was being done with responsibility and as part of this appointment letters have been distributed among 150 people.

He said that numerous complaints have been received during the Seedhi Baat program that those killed in the maoist related violence have yet not got compensation or jobs and therefore the government decided to take quick action and ensured that within a specific time they were given compensation and jobs and directions in this regard was issued to the departments concerned.

He said that the state government was also committed to providing better Healthcare facilities to the inmates lodged in the different jails and therefore appointment letters to 85 paramedical staff was being distributed who would be looking after the health care of the inmates.

Those present on the occasion also included Chief Secretary D K Tiwari Additional Chief Secretary Home Sukhdeo Singh Sukhdev Singh DGP K N Choubey and others.
