CM directs to ensure no use of single use plastic in Puja pandals

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has directed to ensure full-proof security at the Puja Pandals so that the devotees do not face any problems.

In a meeting with the office-bearers of Ranchi Zilla Durga Puja Samiti and Mahaveer Mandal Samiti at the project building, he asked them to ensure single-use plastic is not used in the pandals and asked them to run a campaign to discourage the use of single-use plastic and alcohol.

Mr Das said that the organizers should also ensure cleanliness and also instructed that all the street vendors who put up their stalls near the pandals their registration should be done as they would be able to get the benefits of the various schemes including a scholarship for children and Rs 2 lakh as compensation in case of an accident.
