High level meeting held to form recruitment policy for para teachers

Ranchi: HRD Minister Neera Yadav chaired the meeting of the high-level committee over the ongoing strike of the para teachers during which the representatives of the agitating para teachers association were also called for giving their suggestions.

Dr Yadav said that the government was sensitive on the issue of the para teachers and on regular basis their demands have been fulfilled in which the members of the para teacher association said that most of their demands have been met but till date the para teacher recruitment policy and issue related to pay scale has not been settled over which they demanded the state government to take quick decision.

In the meeting, the members of the association were asked to come up with their suggestion on the recruitment policy as soon as possible so that the same can be included while framing of the policy and necessary decision can be taken.

The committee asked the para teachers to come up with such suggestions so that the quality education to children is provided and is on par with the eligibility criteria.

The delegation of the para teachers said that their suggestions has been sent to the committee late evening over which the department said that their views will be also considered and soon the rules will be framed.

Those present in the meeting included Development Commissioner Sukhdeo Singh Additional Chief Secretary Finance KK Khandelwal and others.
