
Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that with the inauguration of multi model port terminal in Sahibganj the entire Santhal Pargana region has been linked with other parts of the world through Waterways.
Addressing the main function organised at the Prabhat Tara Grounds here he said he said that doors of development for the Santhal Pargana region has been opened through Waterways in just three years which will also create direct and indirect employment for the people.
Mr Das said that the occasion was a historic one as the people have got their own temple of democracy and the culture of the state has the made the building further grand. He said that since 2014 the government has been working to fulfill the aspirations of the people and with this new Vidhan Sabha building the further dreams of the people will be catered.
He said that the state government will fulfill all those dreams which remained unfulfilled for the previous 14 years. He said that an year ago the Prime Minister had started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana from the same venue and its benefit was reaching to all the people and in Jharkhand 57 lakh families have been included in the scheme for which additional provision of Rs 400 crore was made in the budget and assured that by September 25th all the 57 lakh families would be provided golden cards under this scheme by the state government.
The Chief Minister said that under Kisan Mandhan pension Yojana young farmers in the age group of 18 to 40 years would be benefited and after that when they turn 60 they would be provided a pension of Rs 3000 per month apart from that the small shopkeeper and self employed will also be provided pension.
Mr Das said that for doubling the income of the farmers by the year 2022 Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been started as the government is concerned about the welfare of the farmers and it did not want them to fall prey to the loan sharks and said that in Jharkhand 35 lakh farmers are getting a minimum of Rs 11000 and maximum of Rs 31000 under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and Mukhymantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana.
He said that to provide quality education on par with the cities to the children from the SC and ST communities in the country 462 Eklavya model schools are going to be set up out of which 69 such residential schools will come up in Jharkhand where children will be provided education apart from training in sports and skill development.
He said that the central government took a historic decision to scrap article 370 and 35 A from Jammu and Kashmir as the area was turning out to be a centre of terrorism and separatists. He said that the present government has fulfilled the dream of having a unified Nation and on the other hand even helped the Muslim women get freedom from triple talaq.
The Chief Minister also used the occasion to extend birthday greetings to the Prime Minister minister in advance which falls on September 17th and hoped for his well being healthy and long life.
