
Ranchi: After Noida and Delhi retired persons will be teaching in government schools in Ranchi.
To make the retired persons active and make them mentally fit with the help of district administration healthy aging India Organisation has started the training program for which inter generation learning center has been set up in DEO office premises.
JCERT’s state resource person Nirupama Kumari held a training for 40 such retired persons in which they were informed as to how they can teach the children.
A target has been set to train 100 such persons and said that after training these people will be teaching students in classes 6-8 in 20 schools. Initially, it will be started from September 15 in 5 schools and said that subsequently the system will be expanded to other states.
The Healthy Aging India Institutions is trying to get the old men get over their loneliness. The campaign was started in September in 2017 from Noida. The old age people in New Delhi Municipal Corporation will be teaching in 41 schools while for Ranchi administration the organization on May 30.
Such retired persons who are educated and want to remain active will be selected under the scheme. After training, they would go for a demonstration and also undergo health check-up to assess their fitness. If they are not able to stand for long durations than they would be given the responsibility to teach weak children.
