People have rejected Babulal Marandi: Praveen Prabhakar

Ranchi: State BJP spokesperson Praveen Prabhakar said that people of the state have already rejected former Chief Minister and JVM(P) supremo Babulal Marandi as Jharkhand was making rapid progress under Chief Minister Raghubar Das.

Addressing a press conference here he said that Mr Marandi is not able to digest the progress of the state. He said that through Momentum Jharkhand initiative the state government received investment proposals worth Rs 3 lakh crore out of which 72,000 crore has been already invested in the state.

He said that in the previous assembly elections Babulal Marandi lost from two seats and also tasted defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that Mr Marandi should not be worried about the state as in the food processing sector alone investment of Rs 1200 crore has been made as 73 units have been set up and 40 are under construction which has created employment for 75000 people, similarly in Textile Sector 35,000 jobs have been created.

Prabhakar said that the automobile sector worldwide was going through a slowdown which has impacted the country and the state and the slowdown has also hit the production and export of automobiles in the country and the state government has had no role to play in this scenario.
