Ranchi: A local court in this district awarded life imprisonment to a murder accused and also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000.
The court of Additional Judge SS Prasad awarded the punishment to Sarwan Ansari alias Charkha in the case. Failing to pay the fine Ansari will have to undergo further imprisonment of six more months.
An FIR, in this case, was registered by the father of the deceased in Kotwali Police Station in which he had said that his son Mohammed Afroz alias Kalu was called up by Ansari on the night of December 11, 2014, and on next day his body was recovered as he was stabbed with a knife.
