Locals block road and train movement demanding arrest of RPF jawan who gunned down three in Barkakana

Ramgarh: Agitated over the triple murder in Gandhinagar Railway Colony under Barkakana OP of this district the locals blocked traffic movement on the Ramgarh- Patratu road and also staged agitation on the rail tracks of Barkakana railway station demanding the arrest of the culprit RPF jawan Pawan Kumar Singh.

The people also burnt tires of the road demanding for the arrest of the culprit. Pawan Kumar Singh on Saturday night had opened indiscriminate firing inside the house of railway employee Ashok Ram in which apart from Ram his wife Lilawati Devi (52) and pregnant daughter Meena Devi (30) died while his daughter Suman Devi and son Sanjay Ram were rushed to RIMS Ranchi for better medical aid.

Another daughter Priyanka and son Bittu had hidden in the other room due to which they remained unhurt. The family of Ashok Ram was also involved in milk trade and the culprit use to take milk from them but had not paid the money due to which he was not allowed to take further milk and angered over this Pawan executed the incident as the house of both the accused and the victim is located in close proximity.

Ashok Ram use to work as a potter at the Bhurkunda Railway Station while his wife was fourth-grade employee on outsourcing at the DC office. Daughter of the deceased Priyanka said that late Saturday night Pawan Singh entered into their house and without any talks opened firing in which his parents and brothers and sisters were seriously injured following which Pawan fled.

She said that the family had stopped giving milk to Pawan as he was not paying money and over the same issue he killed her family members.
