Ragubar hails PM for his historic decision to scarp Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das described scrapping of Article 370 and 35 A in Jammu and Kashmir by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a brave historic and farsightedness step aimed at strengthening the unity and diversity of the state.

Addressing the people at the historic Morabadi Grounds of the state capital on the occasion of the nation’s 73rd Independence Day he thanked and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their historic decision which is fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the crores of people of the country. He said that by this decision Jammu and Kashmir has in real sense become an inseparable part of India.

He also recalled the words of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who had advocated Insaniyat, Kashmiriyat and Jamhuriat for Jammu and Kashmir and said that with this decision of the government the dreams of Sardar Patel. Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Atal Ji has bee realised. Mr Das said that he had full belief that in the days to come with the cooperation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and strong will power of the government the problems in that state will be sorted out and Jammu and Kashmir will scale new heights of development.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also lauded the bravery of the army and paramilitary forces and security personnel of the country who made the supreme sacrifice to protect the unity and integrity of the nation. He said that in legacy Jharkhand had got the problem of maoists but thanks to the bravery of the police and para millitary forces and the policies of the central and the state government the maoists were breathing their last in the state.

He credited the police jawans and the para millitary forces for ensuring better law and order situation in the state which was very important for development. The Chief Minister said that any country or the state can be built through strong thoughts and will-power. He said that he can now say with full confidence that the intentions of his government was good and was also high on strength and also enjoyed the blessings of the 3.25 crore people of the state due to which the state government was working to build a new Jharkhand where no one lives without medicines, education and home.

He said that due to the strong will power of the state government and cooperation of the people Jharkhand was progressing rapidly and outlook towards the state and on every stage there are talks of changing, growing and developing Jharkhand. Mr Das quoting a report of the UNDP said that Jharkhand ranked first among the Indian states were poverty has rapidly declined.

Mr Das said that the economy of the state is also rapidly growing and in the last three years it has registered a growth rate of 14.2 per cent and per capita income in the state in the last 3 three years has grown by 9.1 per cent. In the last five years forestry under primary sector has increased by 31.2 per cent and fisheries by 15.9 per cent. He said that his government wanted to ensure that development reaches to every home and village in the state.

He said that agriculture was the base for the economy in the state is also an inseparable part of the culture and tradition of the state. He said that for the first time in the history of Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana has been started under which the farmers having land holdings between 1-5 acres will be given a minimum of Rs 5,000 and a maximum of Rs 25,000 which will be transferred in their accounts through DBT and this year the benefit of the scheme will be extended to 35 lakh farmers for which Rs 3,000 crore will be spent.

Further farmers are also getting Rs 6,000 under PM-Kissan Yojana, he said adding that under the Pradhanmantri Kissan Bima Yojana the insurance is being done without any premium while farmers including women were also sent to Israel to learn the modern techniques of farming and assured that the separate electricity feeders for the farmers will be set up by September 2019 in the state.

The Chief Minister said that workers have an important role to play in the development of the state and progress, therefore, a campaign for their registration was on in the state so that they can avail the various schemes which are being provided by the state government for their welfare, moreover they are also being provided a pension of Rs 3,000 under Pradhanmantri Shramyogi Mandhan Yojana.

Mr Das also highlighted the works being done by his government in the areas of road construction, providing clean drinking water to the people and said that under Ayushman Bharat Yojana so far golden cards have been distributed among 40 lakh families and from August 16 these cards will be made free of cost.

The Chief Minister also announced the launch of Atal Clinic (Mohallah Clinics) from August 16 and in the first phase 25 such clinics will be set up while by September 25 their numbers will be taken to 100. He said that education was a great asset for building the future of the state and his government was investing in the sector so that all children can get a quality education. Mr Das also highlighted the steps taken to promote higher education and technical education in the state.
