Talks of ‘Changing Jharkhand- Progressing Jharkhand’ is taking place every where: Guv

Dumka: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu said that under a stable and popular government dedicated and honest efforts are being made for all-round, balanced and holistic development of state due to which everywhere now there is talk of changing Jharkhand- Progressing Jharkhand and even the state is being recognized at the national level for its role in the development of the country.

Addressing the people after hoisting the national flag at the Police Lines here on the occasion of the nation’s 73rd Independence Day she said the state government was working to ensure that development reaches to the last person in the society and due to the continuous efforts Jharkhand has made a name for itself at the national and international level.

She said that for the welfare of the farmers the Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana has been launched under which the famers having land holdings between 1-5 acres will be given a minimum of Rs 5,000 and a maximum of Rs 25,000 which will be transferred in their accounts through DBT and this year the benefit of the scheme will be extended to 35 lakh farmers for which Rs 3,000 crore will be spent. Further 8 lakh farmers have got the first installment of funds under PM-Kissan Yojana.

The Governor said that as part of people welfare measures the government was providing a minimum sum of Rs 1,000 as part of various social security schemes including old age, widow and divyang pensions, further to get rid of social evils the concept of mass marriages have been started and organisations organising mass marriages are being provided Rs 2,000 per couple.

She said that post the 103rd amendment in the constitution 10 per cent reservation has been provided to the economically weak in general category government jobs. On the other hand for economic empowerment of the women 55,000 of them were trained as woman masons and given employment opportunities.

Ms Murmu said that by September end people hailing from the primitive tribes group will be provided clean drinking water in their homes through pipelines and said that under Mukhyamantri Jan Jal Yojana 32 big rural drinking water supply schemes are being currently implemented in Santhal Pargana region.

The Governor stressed on the need to protect the environment along with industrialisation and said that without linking the local people with forest the development and conservation of the forest will not be possible therefore the state government has launched the Mukhyamantri Jan Van Yojana has been launched under 75 percent incentives is being given to the people while the festival of Karma has also been declared a state festival.

She said that under DDU Gram Jyoti Yojana for agriculture consumers separate feeders for agriculture is being set up in the state as part of which in Santhal Pargana expansion of 132/33 KV grid substations as Jamtara, Chatra and Rajmahal is being expanded and electrification work has been completed in 2673 villages in Dumka.  

Adding further she said that expansion work at Deoghar airport was on while in Dumka a commercial pilot license training center will be started on PPP mode where paragliding training is already on. She said that the work of construction of multi-model terminal in Sahebganj was almost complete and will be inaugurated soon. Ms Murmu said that in the year 2019-20 so far roads and bridges worth Rs 2190 crore have been approved.

She said that under Mnrega about 85 per cent individual projects were executed in the year 2018-19 and the same focus has been maintained this year as Jharkhand ranks first in the implementation of individual schemes under Mnrega in the country. On the other hand under PMAY in Santhal Pargana so far the construction of 23,717 homes have been constructed.
