Article 370 gave birth to terrorism, its scrapping will bring development: Pratul

Ranchi: State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have removed the black spot which was hurting the people of the country by scrapping Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here he said that Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was the one who made the first sacrifice against Article 370 in Independent India and by removing this true respect has been offered towards him. He said that due to this article the workers and the original inhabitants were not able to get their due rights.

He said that members of the Dalit communities who were living in the state since 1950 were not getting the benefits of reservation or any other facilities and were involved in only scavenging and these people did not have the right to select any other profession.

On the other hand, any woman if she married any man outside she was denied right over the property. Due to restrictions over ownership of property Industries and private sector were adversely impacted. Pratul said those good doctors and engineers did not go to Kashmir and students from outside were also not admitted in state-run colleges.
