MLAs looking to switch sides before polls

Ranchi: The poll debacle for the mahagathbandhan in the Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand is likely to worsen further as days near to the Assembly Elections as many MLA S from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and the Congress are likely to switch over to the BJP.

Rumours have it that tired with the infighting and squabbling in the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee couple of MLS have got in touch with the BJP. Lucky strategist of the state BJP who is in touch with these legislators said that no preconditions would be accepted before joining the party and there would be only included in the party after a survey regarding their image and ground reality would be conducted by the party.

Among the two while one hails from the North Chottanagpur Division while and others come from Santhal Pargana and at present both of them have been asked to remain calm and wait for the right signal. Things are not good for JMM also as the party and its MLAs are still to get over with the setback of the defeat of party Supremo Shibu Soren in Dumka. The MLAs are looking for safe shelter and most likely they would too switch to the BJP as soon as they receive the go-ahead from the party.

The politics of Gathbandhan is one of the biggest reasons which has forced the legislators to change sides as BJP and AJSU will go together in the polls despite having pressure of seat-sharing by the LJP and the JD, on the other hand, JMM Congress RJD and the left are trying to form an alliance together for the polls and therefore keeping all the equations in the mind the MLAs would decide their future course of action and then make a choice of the party.

For many of them choice of the party is adding to their dilemma as Mandu MLA Jai Prakash Bhai Patel who has been suspended from the JMM was campaigning in favour of the BJP candidates during the Lok Sabha poll as he wanted to join the AJSU party and contest from the Mandu seat however in case of an alliance the seat is likely to go to the BJP, therefore, he was keeping all his options open and is likely to take the decision at a correct time.

Few of the independent amylase to have stood with the BJP also lobbing that they can get the party ticket on their sitting seat prominent among them was Bhanu Pratap Shahi of Naujawan Sangharsh Morcha from Bhawnathpur and even Latehar MLA Prakash Ram of the JVM is considered close to the BJP.
