Special session of Jharkhand Assembly in September End

Ranchi: A special session of the Jharkhand assembly is expected to be held sometime in the month of September during which the state government would thank the centre for scrapping article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

The special session has been proposed in the new constructed Vidhan Sabha however prior to holding the session the new building of the Vidhan Sabha would be inaugurated by the means of which the state government would be tried to give a message that important works which needed to be done by the previous governments were ignored and has been executed by the present regime. Currently, the Jharkhand assembly functions from a rented accommodation located in HEC premises with limited resources.

The special session would be the last for the 4th Jharkhand assembly as the Vidhan Sabha elections are proposed in November and December whereas in the special session the opposition and the ruling benches will be given an opportunity to have an open debate on scrapping of article 370 after which the state government would pass a proposal thanking the central government for the scrapping of the article.

Instructions have been issued to convince the preparations for the special session after which the officials have moved into action and are looking to rectify the arrangements and even the legislators are excited to participate in the special session in the new assembly building.

Keeping the leaves of the future in mind the new Vidhan Sabha has a seating capacity of 150 MLAs whereas in the present assembly there are 82 seats including 81 elected and one nominated member. Apart from other features, the newly built Vidhan Sabha has a hall having the capacity to accommodate 400 people and has been divided into three Wings Central East and West.

The central wing has the Assembly apart from the rooms of the speaker Chief Minister and other senior officials. It also has a separate sitting place for MLAs, press and media lobby, library and canteen.
