Man along with buffaloes electrocuted in Jamtara

Jamtara: A man in his mid-forties along with his two buffaloes lost their lives as they came in contact with a high tension wire in Siyaljori village under Kunda Police Station area of this district.

The deceased has been identified as Bhaktipad Manjhi (45). Police said that the man along with his buffaloes was going to his farm when he failed to spot the 11000-volt wire which had fallen on the ground.

The man and his cattle died on the spot immediately. Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Praveen Prabhakar said that the kind of the family will be given Rs 2 lakh as immediate compensation from the Chief Minister disaster relief fund. Later the body was sent for postmortem to Sadar Hospital.
