There is no identity crisis for the tribals in Jharkhand: Raghubar

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that there was no crisis on the identity of the tribals of Jharkhand at present and there will be also no problem in the future.

Addressing a function after launching a series of books at the Aryabhata Auditorium here he said no one can remove the tribals of Jharkhand. He said that some foreign powers had tried to damage the culture of the tribals but could not succeed in their plans. He said that before Independence itself the foreign powers had started religious conversions to wipe out their identity and even Mahatma Gandhi had expressed his concern over the issue of religious conversions.

Mr Das said that despite the work of foreign powers the tribal community has become aware and roots of the tribal culture of Jharkhand are so strong that no one has the power to even shake them. He said that the country was just fee months away from celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and he was fortunate to have got an opportunity to launch a book containing the details of his visit to Jharkhand and other issues related to that era.

He said that Gandhiji had visited Jharkhand on numerous occasion before Independence but there was no document proof but this book has kept the facts regarding the arrival of Gandhiji which will continue to inspire the future generations. Mr Das said that the entire country was in a mood of of a Movement in order to make a clean India on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and said that it on the principles of swashasan suraaj and development the central and the state governments their working and pointed out that in the present circumstances in politics of the country changes have come and now development is most important while casteism regionalism and communalism have been rejected by the people.

The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of the Nations 75th Independence Day celebration in 2022 Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken applies to make a new India which would be free from corruption and poverty and where not a single person would be without home medical facilities and medicines and added that in 2022 a new Jharkhand would also be presented before the country. He said that his government was working to end negative politics and focus only on development.

The Chief Minister said that a stable government was present in Jharkhand which is important for development and said that he would not clean that all the things have changed but many new initiatives have been taken in the field of education Healthcare and employment and foundation has been laid to make a prosperous Jharkhand. He said that with the collective efforts of all Jharkhand can be made a prosperous state and the people present in the audience should think as to how Jharkhand can be for the taken on the path of development.

The Chief Minister said that the arts and culture department would be keeping the archives and other documents related to the history of the state and other important events in Audrey house for the people.

Speaking on the occasion Deputy Speaker of Rajya Sabha Mr Harivansh said facts related to visiting of Gandhiji in the book and exuded hope that the work would continue to inspire the future generations. He said that the road for truth and nonviolence was laid in Ranchi and suggested that research should be done on Tana Bhagats of Jharkhand and urged the people to come forward and assured that the government will be extending all support to them. He said people should always be inspired to write and hoped that the books will continue to inspire future generations.
