Latehar: The identity of the ultra who was arrested by the police following an encounter with TSPC on the bordering areas of Chandwa and Balumath Police Station areas has been ascertained.
DIG Palamu Vipul Shukla said that the arrested has been identified as Vikas Kumar Ganjhu of Chatra district. He said that police had reached on the spot after receiving information regarding the presence of TSPC squad led by Roshan Ji.
He said that for about 90 minutes ultras and police exchanged fire but when the police cornered the ultras they started to flee during which one of them was nabbed. Mr Shukla said that in the search operation three guns including Insas, SLR and American Automatic Rifle, cartridges, ten, bag packs and other items were recovered.
