Ramgarh: Police has arrested four accused who were wanted in connection with a case of honor killing from Basal Police Station area of this district. Ramgarh SP Prabhat Kumar said that body of the couple was from Ghaghra Tongri Pahadi on June 23 who were identified as Anita Kumari and her lover Rajkumar Bedia.
The couple had eloped from their separate villages on the night of June 17 after which a missing complaint was registered at the Basal Police Station area on June 21 and 22 however their bodies were recovered a day later.
An investigating team which was probing the matter found that the brother of the girl Shyam Oraon was opposed to her relationship who later hatched the conspiracy for their murder.
It was Shyam who called Raj Bedia at the Ghaghra Tongri Pahadi where he along with his cousin Anjan Oraon and two friends Manoj Prajapati and Amit Kumar Linda killed the duo. The SP said that after killing both of them the culprits tried to even burn their bodies by pouring kerosene.
