Ranchi: Couple of brother traveling on two-wheeler were run over by a speeding truck at Saporam under Nagdi Police Station area of this district on the NH-23. The deceased have been identified as Nandkishore Pathak (75) and Triveni Pathak (45). Both of them originally hailed from Chatra and lived in a rented accommodation in Ranchi. Elder brother Nandkishore was a priest.
The duo were traveling towards Nagdi when they were hit by a speeding truck from behind as a result of which both of them died on the spot. Post the incident the truck driver managed to flee from the spot leaving his vehicle behind.
A police team which later arrived on the spot sent both the bodies for post-mortem to RIMS and also seized the truck.
