PCC holds condolence meet, pays tributes to Sheila Dixit

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee held a condolence meet at the party headquarters here where party leaders offered their tributes to former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit who passed away yesterday.

Leader of the legislature wing of the party Aalamgir Aalam who was also present on the occasion garlanded the statue of the departed leader after which the Congressmen observed a couple of minutes of silence as part of respect for their leader.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Aalam said that the contribution of Late Sheila Dixit in the area of the social and political sphere of the country will always be remembered. He said that she always worked for the strengthening of the party and even in her last moments continued to make a valuable contribution as the DPCC head.

He said that not only the people of Delhi but also across the nation she will be remembered for changing the face of the national capital, making it more beautiful is also credited for Delhi metro, laying a network of flyovers, CNG operated buses etc. Mr Aalam said that her departure is an irreparable loss for the party and the country.
