Twin murders rock Ramgarh

Ramgarh: A land dealer was killed using sharp-edged weapon in Sankul village under Patratu Police Station area of this district. The deceased has been identified as Ramprasad Sahu (52). His body was today found from his own filed located at Balmiki Nagar.

Upon receiving information Patratu SDPO Prakashchandra Mahto reached on the spot along with other policemen. Though the villagers initially did not allow the police to send the body for postmortem demanding arrest of the culprits but later on they relented. Police said that prima facie it appears to be that the man was killed over a land dispute. Later in the day Ramgarh SP Nidhi Dwivedi also reached on the spot and inquired into the incident. Police said that the bike, helmet and mobile of the deceased are missing from the spot. Further probe is on.

Meanwhile in Painki under Kujju OP two bike-borne miscreants shot dead a youth who was identified as Motilal Mahto (33) a resident of Lohsinha. Upon receiving information Ramgrah SDPO Radha Prem Kishore reached on the spot and inquired into the incident. The villagers also blocked traffic movement on the Ranchi-Patna road over the incident.
