Deoghar DC Warns of Action Against Officials Over Delayed Land Revenue Complaints

Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvania on Friday directed circle officers to ensure the timely disposal of pending complaints related to land revenue receipts, warning that negligence in grievance redressal would invite disciplinary action.

The Deputy Commissioner issued the instructions during a public hearing where residents from urban and rural areas raised complaints concerning land acquisition and compensation, the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, pensions, housing benefits and ration cards.

Bhuvania heard the applicants individually and assured them that their grievances would be examined and resolved promptly. Several complaints related to ration cards, pensions, the Maiya Samman Yojana and land revenue matters were resolved on the spot by the concerned departments.

During the hearing, the Deputy Commissioner also directed the concerned Block Development Officer to prioritise the inclusion of an elderly woman in a government housing scheme.

Emphasising accountability in public service delivery, Bhuvania instructed all circle officers to clear pending land revenue receipt complaints within the prescribed timeframe. Officials were also directed to take prompt action on matters involving land acquisition, compensation, land reforms and the protection of public property.

To strengthen monitoring and ensure follow-up, the concerned departments were asked to submit action-taken reports to the Deputy Commissioner's office within one week.

The administration's directives aim to expedite grievance redressal, improve accountability among officials and ensure that eligible residents receive government services and benefits without unnecessary delays.
