The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Jharkhand continued its investigation at the office of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) for the second consecutive day on Saturday in connection with alleged irregularities in the JSSC-CGL and other recruitment examinations.
A team of the CID's special investigation unit reached the JSSC office again on Saturday and examined several documents and records related to the examination and recruitment process.
According to sources, the investigators scrutinised documents linked to the conduct of examinations, candidate records, files related to examination management and other relevant official records. The team also visited different sections of the commission's office to gather information as part of the ongoing probe.
The CID is also examining information and evidence from other locations reportedly linked to the case.
The agency has been investigating alleged irregularities in JSSC recruitment examinations, particularly the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. During the course of the investigation, officials, employees and other persons connected with the examination process are being questioned.
The investigation is aimed at determining the nature and extent of the alleged irregularities, identifying the stage at which they may have occurred and establishing the roles, if any, of individuals connected with the examination process.
The latest search at the JSSC office comes as the CID continues to examine records and other evidence to establish the sequence of events and determine whether any individuals were involved in the alleged irregularities.
