The Ramgarh district administration has directed the authorities managing the Rajrappa temple to ensure greater transparency in financial transactions and donation management while taking steps to improve facilities and security for devotees.

A review meeting of the Rajrappa Tourism Development Authority was held at the district collectorate conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rituraj, in the presence of Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat.

The meeting focused on the overall development of the Maa Chhinnamastika Temple at Rajrappa, expansion of facilities for devotees, restructuring and expansion of the temple trust committee, and ensuring transparency in its financial management.

The meeting was also convened to ensure full compliance with the orders issued by the Jharkhand High Court concerning the management of the temple and its associated financial affairs.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner held detailed discussions with members of the Maa Chhinnamastika Rajrappa Temple Trust Committee regarding its proposed expansion and the rules governing withdrawals and expenditure from the committee’s bank accounts.

Officials and committee members also reviewed the applicable bylaws, rules, regulations, resolutions and other provisions governing the collection and utilisation of temple funds.

Donation collection system reviewed

A major part of the discussion focused on the digital and physical donation systems operating at the temple.

The administration sought details on the bank accounts linked to QR codes installed across the temple premises and the accounts into which donations received through these digital channels are being deposited.

The process for handling donations received through traditional donation boxes was also reviewed. Discussions covered the collection of funds, transparent counting, depositing the money into designated bank accounts and the procedure to be followed for subsequent withdrawals and expenditure.

The administration's focus on these procedures is aimed at ensuring that donations are properly accounted for and that there is a clear audit trail from the point of collection to their eventual use.

“Rajrappa’s Maa Chhinnamastika Temple is an important religious and tourism centre. The convenience and safety of devotees, along with financial transparency in temple management, are our top priorities,” Rituraj said.

He directed all concerned departments and members of the temple trust to work in coordination and ensure strict compliance with the High Court’s directions.

The meeting was attended by the District Sports Officer-cum-District Tourism Nodal Officer of Ramgarh, the president, vice-president and secretary of the temple trust committee representing the Panda community, besides other administrative and departmental officials.
