Concern Grows Over Missing Ranchi Man in Nepal as Minister Sanjay Seth Meets Family

Concern is mounting over the whereabouts of Ranchi resident Ramprasad Ghosh, who has been missing in Nepal following the recent floods. His family has not been able to establish contact with him since August 26, with their last conversation taking place a day earlier.

Ghosh works as an administrator with Andritz Hydro Power Company in the Upper Trishuli area of Nepal. Following the loss of contact, his family members travelled to Nepal and have been searching for him, with efforts extending from Kathmandu to the Trishuli region.

The family is also seeking assistance through the Indian Embassy and other relevant channels to gather information about his whereabouts and ensure that search and rescue efforts reach the areas where he may have been located.

Amid the growing concern, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth met Ghosh's family on Saturday. He spoke to the relatives about the situation, took details of the efforts being made to trace him and assured them that all possible assistance would be extended to locate him.

However, the family said that no confirmed information regarding Ghosh's safety or whereabouts has emerged so far.

His sister Pooja Ghosh and brother Prakash Kumar Ghosh said the family has been making continuous efforts to establish contact and obtain information from Nepal. A friend of Ghosh is also in Nepal and is assisting the family in the search.

With several days having passed since contact was lost, the family is now hoping that efforts by the Indian diplomatic authorities and other agencies will lead to concrete information about Ghosh soon.

The case has caused considerable anxiety among his relatives in Ranchi, who are awaiting confirmation of his whereabouts and hoping for his safe return.
