Ranchi Police Officers Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Children at Balashray and Premashray

Raksha Bandhan took on a special meaning for children at Balashray in Pandara and Premashray in Chutia as senior Ranchi police officers joined them in celebrating the festival of brother-sister bonding.

The children tied rakhi on the wrists of the police officers and expressed their affection and trust by considering them their brothers and protectors. The warm interaction created an atmosphere of happiness and familiarity between the children and the police personnel.

Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police, along with the Superintendent of Police (City), Superintendent of Police (Rural), Superintendent of Police (Traffic) and the Kotwali ASP, attended the programme. Local police officials were also present.

The officers spent time with the children beyond the formalities of the event. They sat and had a meal with them and interacted with them about their studies, interests and aspirations for the future. The children were also given gifts as part of the celebration.

The police officials said every child deserves affection, safety, dignity and opportunities to build a better future. They added that such programmes help boost children’s confidence while also making the relationship between the police and the community more trusting and sensitive.

For the children, the celebration offered an opportunity to share the warmth and emotions associated with Raksha Bandhan with members of the police force. For the officers, it was also a chance to connect with children in a more personal and informal setting.
