Members of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) on Tuesday unanimously approved amendments to the association’s Rules and Regulations during a Special General Meeting (SGM) held at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Dhurwa, Ranchi.
The amendments have been incorporated in compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court of India contained in its September 14, 2022 judgment in Civil Appeal No. 4235 of 2014.
The meeting was presided over by JSCA President Ajay Nath Shahdeo and witnessed the presence of other office bearers, including Vice President Sanjay Pandey, Honorary Secretary Saurabh Tiwary, Honorary Joint Secretary Shahbaz Nadeem and Treasurer Amitabh Ghosh. Members of the Committee of Management and other members of the association also attended the meeting.
More than 300 members participated in the SGM, reflecting strong attendance and engagement from the association's membership.
The meeting began with a welcome address by Honorary Secretary Saurabh Tiwary. Following this, President Ajay Nath Shahdeo read out the provisions of the Rules and Regulations proposed for amendment.
After the provisions were placed before the members, the amendments received unanimous approval from those present at the meeting.
The SGM concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vice President Sanjay Pandey.
The approval of the amendments marks an important step for JSCA towards aligning its governing framework with the directions issued by the Supreme Court and ensuring compliance with the applicable regulations.
