Sai NGO Business Consultancy (SNBC), operating under the brand ngotrust.in, has launched an awareness initiative aimed at helping NGOs and other social-sector organisations comply with key statutory and regulatory requirements.

The initiative will focus on Trusts, Societies and Section 8 Companies, with particular emphasis on timely renewal of 12A and 80G registrations, NGO Darpan and CSR-1 registration, and compliance requirements under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).

SNBC founder Advocate P.R. Pandey (BCI Enrollment No. JH361/24) said timely compliance was essential for NGOs, particularly those dependent on donations and grants. He said delays or errors in renewing 12A and 80G certifications could affect donors seeking tax benefits and potentially impact an organisation’s credibility.

The awareness campaign will also guide organisations in selecting an appropriate legal structure—Trust, Society or Section 8 Company—depending on their objectives and activities. SNBC said smaller organisations often face difficulties in completing regulatory forms correctly and meeting statutory deadlines, which can make subsequent rectification more complicated.

According to the consultancy, it has been operating since 2016 and is ISO certified. It currently has five offices, including its headquarters in Ranchi, branches in Dhanbad, Patna and Prayagraj, and an office in Pune, covering Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The firm claims to have assisted more than 5,000 clients with NGO registration, tax compliance, trademark registration and company incorporation-related services.

SNBC said it plans to further expand its digital awareness initiatives under the leadership of Advocate Neha Pandey, with the objective of improving compliance awareness among organisations working in the social sector.
