Devotees attending the Rajkiya Shravani Mela 2026 in Deoghar can now report problems directly to the district administration by scanning QR codes installed at various locations across the fair area.

The new QR code-based grievance redressal system has been introduced to help pilgrims quickly report issues related to sanitation, drinking water, toilets, health camps, holding points and other facilities along the Kanwariya route.

Deoghar Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Kumar Bhuvaniya said ensuring a safe, convenient and hassle-free pilgrimage experience remains the administration's top priority. The QR codes have been placed at key locations so that devotees can raise complaints without having to search for officials or visit administrative offices.

After scanning a QR code, devotees are directed to an online complaint form where they can describe the problem and upload a photograph, if necessary. Complaints can be submitted regarding cleanliness, toilet facilities, drinking water, administrative camps, health services, holding areas and arrangements along the Kanwariya route.

A dedicated monitoring cell has been established at the mela control room to oversee the complaints received through the system. Once a complaint is registered, it is forwarded to the concerned department, following which the relevant field team is directed to take corrective action.

The administration said the technology-driven initiative will enable real-time monitoring of essential services and help authorities respond more quickly to problems reported by pilgrims.

With lakhs of devotees expected to visit Deoghar during the Shravani Mela, officials believe the system will improve coordination among departments while making the pilgrimage experience cleaner, safer and more comfortable.
