Draft Electoral Roll for SIR 2026 Released in Ranchi; Voters Asked to Verify Details

Ranchi: The draft electoral roll for all Assembly constituencies in Ranchi district has been published as part of the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 exercise.

Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Manjunath Bhajantri has urged all eligible voters to verify their names, addresses and other personal details in the newly published voter list. He said any errors, omissions or required corrections should be reported by submitting the prescribed claim or objection forms within the stipulated period.

Apart from the online facility, voters can also verify their names in the draft electoral roll at their respective polling booths.

Bhajantri stressed that an accurate and updated electoral roll is essential for a fair democratic process. He appealed to residents to not only verify their own details but also ensure that the names of their family members are correctly included in the voter list. Those who find discrepancies or missing entries should complete the necessary formalities within the given timeline.

He also directed all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to extend full assistance to voters and ensure that all claims and objections are processed in accordance with the prescribed rules.
